The Volkswagen 1.4 TSI (CAV) is a highly efficient and high-performance gasoline engine, part of the EA111 family, renowned for its advanced “twin-charging” system. This 1.4-liter, inline four-cylinder engine uses both a supercharger (for excellent low-end torque and immediate acceleration) and a turbocharger (for power at high RPMs), effectively minimizing turbo lag across the entire rev range.
