Our story
Auto Manage Spare is a registered South African business (CIPC 2022/114301/06) based in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. We supply used engines and gearboxes for most makes and models — from everyday hatchbacks and sedans to bakkies, SUVs and light commercial vehicles.
Replacing a car's engine or gearbox from a franchise dealer is often the single biggest repair bill a vehicle owner will ever face — frequently more than the car itself is worth. We exist to give South African motorists, workshops and mechanics an affordable alternative: a quality used unit, checked before it's listed, at a fraction of the price of new.
Our catalog covers hundreds of engine and gearbox listings across dozens of makes — Toyota, Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Nissan, Hyundai, Isuzu and many more — so whether you're keeping an old workhorse on the road or repairing a daily driver, there's a good chance we already have what you need in stock.
What we do
We source and sell used engines and gearboxes, and every unit is checked before it goes up for sale. When you send us your vehicle's make, model, year and engine code, our team confirms fitment before you order — so you're not guessing whether a part will bolt in.
Payment is collected securely through PayFast at checkout — we never see or store your card or bank details. Once your order is placed, our team reviews and confirms it within one business day before it ships.
How shipping & delivery works
Every order ships in a sealed, insured crate. Orders placed and confirmed before 14:00 SAST are collected for despatch the same business day; orders confirmed after 14:00 ship the next business day. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your order leaves our warehouse, and you can also track your order status from your account at any time.
Standard shipping is a flat rate, and free on orders over R9,000. Typical delivery estimates are 2–5 business days within South Africa, 5–10 business days to neighbouring SADC countries, and longer for shipments further afield — see our Shipping Policy for the full breakdown by region.
