The BMW N13B16 is a 1.6-liter, straight-four TwinPower Turbo petrol engine used in various BMW F20 (1-Series) and F30 (3-Series) models (e.g., 114i, 116i, 118i, 316i, and certain 320i models in specific markets). Part of the Prince engine family (a collaboration between BMW and PSA Peugeot Citroën), it features an all-aluminum block, direct fuel injection , double VANOS (variable valve timing), and Valvetronic (variable valve lift). Known for its balance of power and efficiency in a compact package, it offers various outputs ranging from 102 hp (75 kW) to 177 hp (130 kW) , with peak torque as high as 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) .
